I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

BOOK RECOMMENDATION: Coach Scott Peterman has compiled an ebook entitled INTERNATIONAL OFFENSIVE BASKETBALL STRATEGIES. It is loaded with great plays collected from top European teams and should make an invaluable resource book for all coaches.`The plays are clearly drawn and easily understood and there is little question but there are some great plays included that have not been used in the USA. Plays are included from all the better teams….Barcelona, Benetton, Milan, Dinamo Moscow, Maccabi, Real Madrid, Panathinaikos and many others. Russia taught us the skip pass in the 1988 Olympics and these plays are bound to teach us other effective offensive techniques.
