Basketball Plays | Tom Crean | Indiana “One” Set Play | Youth Basketball Offense

Written by Coach Peterman

I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

In today’s edition of Youth Basketball Offenses-Simple Basketball Plays, I am giving you the Indiana One Set Play from Tom Crean.

Indiana One Set Play with Tom Crean

We will be also be adding Youth basketball drills for kids and Youth Basketball Offensessimple basketball plays to our website very soon.

Tom Crean takes the box set series and breaks it down into parts.  He is an excellent coach that you can learn from on any level.  His teams are very fundamental and well-schooled.  The box set can confuse the defense by running different action out of the same set.  His box set plays will include 2- and 3-point options, hand offs, several types of screens, multiple pick and rolls and penetration.
