I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.



Today’s basketball plays are from Tom Izzo and Michigan State University. Coach Izzo is the master of the set plays and here are two zone set plays that you can run. I hope that you like them.

Coach Jim Ponchak is an assistant coach at Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood, NJ. He will also be a lead instructor at PGC Basketball this summer. I think that you will really appreciate the hard work that he puts into his basketball coaching clinic notes. Coaching Basketball is one of his passions in life.
