I am a big fan of the dribble drive offense! I like almost all of the concepts and rules of the dribble. One aspect that I don’t agree with is teaching players to attack drop zones. The Attack and React uses a “drive line” rather than drop zones. Drop zones cause players to drive a little more east/west and not north/south. As you can see from the diagram, the drop zones teach players to attack just outside the lane. The “drive line” of The Attack and React promotes a more straight line drive. The perimeter players don’t need to read whether a driver is in a drop, drag, or rack zone. All they need to read is if the driver is above or below the “drive line”. I also think this simple adjustment can be made to the dribble drive offense or can be used for any offense other than the Attack and React. I believe it simplifies the idea of teaching 3 different zones.
