Basketball Plays | Fred Hoiberg | Iowa State University Secondary Break Option | Anthony Elias

Written by Coach Peterman

I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

Fred Hoiberg is the head men’s basketball coach at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa where he grew up.  He played three seasons for legendary coach Johnny Orr and one season for Tim Floyd. He was previously Vice President of Basketball Operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA and played professionally for 10 years.

Today, we have an Iowa State University Secondary Break Option.  Iowa State is a team on the rise under the Basketball Coaching of Fred Hoiberg.   The Cyclones upgraded their roster with a handful of transfer players, nearly all of whom could shoot. This Secondary Break Option is one that you should check out if you have shooters.

Anthony Elias is one of the up and coming coaches out there and will provide excellent content for Men’s Basketball HoopScoop.  He is doing an outstanding job providing us with great basketball plays this season.
