What Men’s Basketball Hoopscoop Has Done For Dana Beszczynski
I got in contact with Coach Scott Peterman and inquired about contributing plays to his website almost three years ago. Before that, I had been checking the webpage daily looking for new plays and ideas, printing out material to enter in my library. I can remember the first time I visited mensbasketballhoopscoop.com and being really impressed with the quality of plays and number of contributors on a daily basis. In the early days, I remember contributors like Zak Boisvert and Brandon Rosenthal, both who now are members of Division I staffs and thinking the exposure from Coach Peterman’s website really helped their careers. I thought this is the perfect platform to give back to the game and all those coaches out there looking for new ideas.
Early on, I just contributed plays to the website, but then I began seeing the playbooks Coach Peterman did and thinking this is something I would like to do as well. As scouting is something I feel is one of my strengths, I started breaking down college games and putting them on the webpage.
As of now, I’m not sure how many posts I’ve contributed to the webpage, this is not the most important thing. For me, being able to give back to the game which has carried my career to Europe is the most important. Coach Peterman’s webpage is a one of a kind chance for coaches to not only further their knowledge, but also gain exposure for their careers in the game. I’ve been lucky to have people ask me about the materials I contribute or my playbooks and I feel good about what I’m doing.
Contributing to Men’s Basketball Hoop Scoop, could be one of the best career moves you ever make or simply become an addiction to build your knowledge!
