Here are three set plays used by the Washington Wizards in the NBA Summer League. Two of the plays utilize an elevator screen to get the shooter open. The Wizards are currently coached by Scott Brooks and have a young but talented roster. The current players include: Bradley Beal, Marcin Gortat, Kelly Oubre Jr, and John Wall. This past season, the Wizards went 41-41 and finished 10th in the Eastern Conference. After missing the playoffs for the first time since 2013, the Wizards fired Head Coach Randy Wittman to hire Scott Brooks.

The video shows several plays that the Wizards used in the Summer League to create scoring opportunities.

SLOB Thru Elevator

2 passes to 1 making a zipper cut off of 4 towards half court. Once 1 has the ball, he dribbles left as 2 crosses the floor and 3 moves towards the basket. Once 3 is at the rim, he sprints through an elevator screen from 4 and 5 at the free throw line. 1 passes to 3 for a 3-point shot at the top of the key. This play could also be countered with 2 cutting through the screen.
