Here is a Tyronn Lue Cleveland Cavaliers Scissor Flip Play. The Cavaliers are 4-0 to start the seasons with wins over the New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, and Houston Rockets. In the early start to the season, the Cavaliers are 3rd overall in the league in scoring offense with 111.0 points per game, 10th overall for field goal percentage (45.6%), and 6th overall in 3-point field goal percentage (38.2%). Kyrie Irving is leading the team in scoring with 26.8 points per game, Tristan Thompson leads in rebounding with 9.5 rebounds per game, and LeBron James has 9.5 assists per game to lead the team. In the Central Division, the Cavaliers are undefeated and so are the Chicago Bulls who are 3-0. Detroit is 3-1 followed by Milwaukee and Indiana with 2-2 records each. The Cavaliers have many of the same parts from last year’s championship roster but have added some pieces including Mike Dunleavy from the Bulls and rookie Kay Felder out of Oakland University.

Tyronn Lue Cleveland Cavaliers Scissor Flip
This play is very well designed and basically isolates LeBron James and Kyrie Irving at the top of the key and puts the defense in a position to decide which player to guard. The ball is brought up the floor by LeBron and thrown to the high post. Once it is in the high post, both James and Irving move in toward the ball and LeBron screens for Kyrie. If that isn’t there on the intial screen, LeBron steps out and screens his man again. The genius of this play is that whichever decision made by the defense is wrong (either LeBron gets an open shot stepping out from a screen or Kyrie gets the ball on a handoff).
