Team Chemistry Activity
Basketball is a team game. Every member must be on one page. Team always win over individuals. One of the most important elements of Basketball is Team Chemistry. So, I decided to share this particular activity with the Basketball coaches in the USA. November is national Coaching Month.
3C’s Communication, Consistency, Commitment
3 C’s (Communication, Consistency, Commitment)
I. Communication
A. T-shirt Activity (Ask each player to share their t-shirts and explain how it represents them.)
B. Fist Activity (Activities deals with confrontation. After activity ask about approaches to open fist, force, distraction, direct approach, etc.)
C. What is Communication? (Effective communication means the ability to express ourselves well, both verbally and non-verbally, in ways which are proper to our cultures and situations. This does not mean only being able to express our desires and opinions, but also needs and fears, including asking for advice and help. Effective communication involves active learning.)
1. We have to be/get tough so we can say tough things to each other.
II. Consistency
A. Be consistent.
B. Unchanging in achievement over a period of time.
C. Egg drop activity.
D. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is then and not and act but behavior. –Aristolic.
E. What must we be consistent in doing as a team this season?
III. Commitment
A. Commitment is the glue that bonds you to your goals.
B. I became a REDHAWK because…
C. Human Knot activity.
D. What will WE commit to
1. What 3 Goals will WE commit to as a team for the season?

3. What 3 habits will WE commit to at practice daily?
Commitment is the glue that bonds you to your goals.
“There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit. When you’re committed to something you accept no excuses, only results.”
