Steve Kerr Golden State Warriors Horns Options 

Steve Kerr turned down Phil Jackson’s offer to coach the New York Knicks last summer. Coach Steve Kerr chose to begin his coaching career with Golden State which is closer to his family and things couldn’t haver turned out better as the Warriors entered the Madison Square Garden on saturday with the best record in the Western Conference.

The talent level for Steve Kerr and Derek Fisher have vast differences. Coach Steve Kerr has the best backcourt in the NBA with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Derek Fisher has two less than healthy high priced forwards in Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire while relying on several players performing on 10 day contracts.

There was no guarantee that Steve Kerr, who had three years of experience as a general manager with Phoenix, was going to turn out where the Golden State Warriors have a chance to play for an NBA championship this season.

Alvin Gentry has really helped out with their offensive success this year. The Golden State Warriors are all on the same page with the offensive strategies and defensive strategies.

Wes Kosel is an assistant coach for men’s basketball under Head Coach Andy Partee at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO. Kosel joined the staff at Colorado College after serving two seasons as an assistant coach at Texas Lutheran University and one season at Haskell Indian Nations University. Kosel has an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas, and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Houston. The Bartlesville, OK native is also a NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT), and taught weight training and aerobic fitness courses while coaching at Texas Lutheran. He has coached AAU programs, volunteered with elementary and middle school basketball teams, and has worked basketball camps for various programs including the Houston Rockets, University of Houston, Texas State, and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
