Scott Drew Baylor Bears Lob vs 2-3 Zone Defense

Scott Drew has Baylor in the hunt for a NCAA Tournament bid and possible high seed. This years Baylor Bears are currently 19-7 overall and 8-5 in Conference.

This Scott Drew Baylor Bears play is from their win against Iowa State. It was run after a FT situation for the Cyclones who dropped back in a 2-3 Zone.

The backline of the Zone set-up rather high as Baylor did a good job with spacing coming out of Transition.

Wainright cuts through the zone off the Fast Break and immediately screens the outside defender (Burton) of the Zone as Motley moves to screen the middle defender (Niang) as Prince makes his way from the ring towards the ring and throws down the jam off the pass from Medford.

The Baylor Bears have played without Rico Gathers, who missed his second game in the last three due to being sick. The team have been very good on the road in the Big 12. There were 14 ties and 14 lead changes in the game that began with both teams having the same record.

The Scott Drew Baylor Bears never trailded in overtime and went ahead with 3:19 left in the overtime when Lester Medford hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer from the left wing to make it 87-84. After Deonte Burton missed badly on a 3-pointer, Prince had a bounce pass to Motley for an emphatic two-handed dunk.

The Cyclones (18-8, 7-6) had three 20-point scorers: Abdel Nader with 26, Georges Niang with 24 and Monte Morris with 20. Burton had 14.
