I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

Attached are three plays from Orlando Antigua that he used during the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Dominican Republic went 2-3 in the group rounds of the FIBA World Cup under Coach Antigua winning games against New Zealand and Finland. The team finished in a tie for 3rd place in Group C with New Zealand and Ukraine. Dominican Republic then lost to Slovenia in the first elimination round. Coach Antigua is also in his first season as head coach of the South Florida Bulls. The Bulls got off to a hot start winning 5 of their first 6 games, but since then the team is 0-4. The Bulls still have to play Florida State, Southeastern Louisiana, and Bowling Green State before starting conference play in the AAC. Before taking over for South Florida, Antigua was an assistant coach for John Calipari at both Kentucky and Memphis. Antigua got his coaching start at his alma mater coaching under Jamie Dixon at Pittsburgh.
