I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

NCAA Tournament: Mike Krzyzewski Duke Blue Devils Offense

Attached are two horns set plays and two zone options from Duke during the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Mike Krzyzewski won his 5th NCAA Tournament Championship on Monday night beating Wisconsin in a close battle. Duke was led all season by the trio of freshman: Jahlil Okafor, Justise Winslow, and Tyus Jones. In the championship game, Grayson Allen and Tyus Jones took over and led the Blue Devils to another championship. Allen scored 16 points and Jones scored 23 including two 3-point shots in the closing minutes. In Duke’s journey to the championship game, the Blue Devils took on Robert Morris, San Diego State, Utah, Gonzaga, and Michigan State. With Wisconsin arguably being the favorites to win after taking down Kentucky, Duke had to play almost perfect to beat the red-hot Badgers. In the championship game, Duke only committed 5 turnovers, shot 80% from the free-throw line, and blocked six shots to outlast Bo Ryan’s team 68-63.
