I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. Mike Fratello Clinic to end all Clinics 2 Notes

Mike Fratello has a record of success in the NBA that very few coaches can rival or attempt to rival. Mike won 667 games with the Hawks, Grizzlies, and Cavaliers, guiding his teams to the NBA Playoffs eleven different times and was named NBA Coach of the Year in 1985-86. His longevity in the game speaks as to his impact and insight about the game of basketball. Mike Fratello has found even greater success as a television analyst where he is regarded as one of the top announcers in the game today. His creative use of the telestrator has also changed the way we watch basketball. Mike Fratello has often worked with legends such as Hubie Brown and has coached teams all over the world.

Coach Mike Fratello had a 667-548 (.549%) record, NBA Coach of the Year (1985-86), Qualified for NBA Playoffs 11 of 16 seasons and is 19th on NBA All-time Wins List. The Former Atlanta Hawks and current NBA braodcaster has also been in charge of the Ukraine’s national team since 2011.

Coach Fratello was offered the job by former Hawks player Alexander Volkov who is in charge of the Ukraine’s basketball federation. Ukraine opened the tournament with a win over the Dominican Republic before falling to Finland. They bounced back with a hard fought win over Turkey on Tuesday. They are led by Pooh Jeter who is averaging a team best 16.7 points and 5.7 assists. Also on the Ukraine roster is former Hawks second-round pick Sergiy Gladyr who is averaging nine points while shooting 57 percent from three-point range but missed the win over Turkey due to an injury suffered against Finland.
