I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. Offensive Efficiency

General Information | Mark Few 2014 Nike Las Vegas Notes

• Few has second highest winning % behind Roy Williams
• Team goal is always to be the most efficient offense in the country

How to be offensively efficient | Mark Few 2014 Nike Las Vegas Notes

1. Take a GREAT shot early in the clock (Score in first 5-6 seconds)
2. Hunt GOOD shots late if GREAT shot isn’t there
3. If you have great shooters let them take open three point attempts no matter the time
4. Get FT’s by getting into the Bonuses
5. Rebound Offensively and put the ball back
a. Send 4 if you can
b. Send 3 if you’re small
c. Send 2 if you are worried about transition

Scoring related to multiple ball swings in the half-court | Mark Few 2014 Nike Las Vegas Notes
• They score 30% on the first side
• 50%+ on the second side
• 80% on the third side
• 90% on the fourth side
• SO…MOVE THE BALL

Spend time teaching and measuring offensive efficiency (points per possession 1.15 is the goal)
