I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

Here are five high ball-screen options from Oklahoma Sooners Head Coach Lon Kruger. Kruger just completed his third season as head coach of the Sooners. In that time, Kruger has improved the win totals from 15 in 2011-2012 to 23 in 2013-2014. Before taking over for the Sooners, Kruger coached for UNLV, Illinois, Florida, Kansas State, UT-Pan American, and in the NBA as a head coach for the Atlanta Hawks and an assistant for the New York Knicks. He played basketball and baseball at Kansas State leading the Wildcats to back-to-back Big Eight Basketball Championships in 1972 and 1973. Although he is typically thought of for his defensive systems, the 2013-2014 Sooners ranked 7th in the country in points per game with 82.2.
