The Lon Kruger Oklahoma Sooners bounced by after the University of Kansas loss by beating Kansas State this past saturday (86-76). Lon Kruger used the Sooners Dribble Weave action against Kansas State. Buddy Heild and the Oklahoma Sooners reminded the sellout crowd at Lloyd Noble Center just how good they are. Buddy Heild had 31 points – one game after putting 46 points up against the University of Kansas. Heild only required a mere 14 shots to lead all scorers and also put himself in the running for “Player of the Year”

The Lon Kruger Oklahoma Sooners are Number 2 in the nation, 12-1 overall, and 2-1 in the Big 12. Bruce Weber thinks that the Lon Kruger Oklahoma Sooners should be a team that deserves to be ranked Number 1.

The Oklahoma Sooners showed no signs of a letting down after the Kansas game. They came out with a vengeance. The coaching staff also reminded them that the Kansas State Wildcats beat them twice last year.

Coach Kruger used the dribble weave which was more effecient than anyone could imagine wth Buddy running it in terms of making shots and attacking to create for his teammates. He was really impressive.

Bruce Weber was impressed with the Lon Kruger Oklahoma Sooners, but he thought the biggest difference between last season’s Sooners team and this year’s squad was Jordan Woodard.

They didn’t even guard Jordan Woodard last year in their game plan last year. The junior guard turned in another strong performance in Saturday’s win with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting, 3-of-5 from behind the 3-point line. He had four assists, three rebounds, a steal, a block and two turnovers.
