Wes Kosel will enter his first season as an Assistant Coach at Augustana University under Tom Billeter in 2016-2017. Kosel came to Sioux Falls after two season at Colorado College as the lead assistant. Kosel, a native of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, served as an assistant coach at Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Texas Lutheran University from 2012-2014. Kosel graduated from the University of Kansas in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He also has a master’s degree in physical education from the University of Houston. While attending Kansas, Kosel served as an assistant coach at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. A life-long student of the game, Kosel honed his coaching skills by working summer camps for various programs in Texas, Colorado, Missouri, and New Mexico. Kosel also is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Personal Trainer, both of which are certifications earned through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Kosel and his wife, Molly, live in Colorado Springs.

The Jeff Hornacek New York Knicks Rose Stagger Single Play from the New York Knicks and Jeff Hornacek to get Derrick Rose an open shot. The Knicks have a new look this year with the addition of Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Brandon Jennings, and Courtney Lee. The Knicks are 1-2 early to start the year with losses to the Cavaliers and Pistons and a win over the Memphis Grizzlies last Saturday. So far, Carmelo is the leading scorer with 21 points per game followed by Porzingis with 18.3 ppg and Derrick Rose with 16.3 ppg.  Joakim Noah is leading the team in rebounds and assists per game. After playing the Rockets and Bulls on November 2nd and 4th, the Knicks have back to back home games against the Utah Jazz and Brooklyn Nets. The Knicks are hoping that Head Coach Jeff Hornacek can help lead them to a playoff appearance for the first time since 2013 where they lost in the Conference Semifinals to the Indiana Pacers.

The play starts with 1 passing to 4 who passes to 3 on the left wing. 5, Porzingis, follows the ball and moves out to the short corner or corner to stretch the defense. After passing to 4, 1 (Rose) moves down to set a staggered screen with 4 for 2 in the short corner. 2 curls the first screen into the lane for a quick layup or post up. Rose then turns and using a single down screen from 4 behind him. The hope is that x1 has to help on the curl by 2 leaving 1 wide open for a shot at the top of the key.
