Fred Hoiberg Iowa State Spread Offense by Wes Kosel
Here are 5 set plays from former Iowa State Head Coach Fred Hoiberg. Hoiberg was named the head coach of the Chicago Bulls earlier this year after spending five seasons as head coach of the Iowa State Cyclones. In his time at Iowa State, he compiled a 115-56 record, never had a losing season, won the Big 12 Tournament twice (2014, 2015), and was named Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2012. Hoiberg played at Iowa State and was named first-team all-Big 8 in 1995. He was then drafted by the Indiana Pacers in 1995 and spent time with the Bulls and Timberwolves before finished playing in 2005. Known for his pro sets and scoring offense, it will be fun to see how Hoiberg can improve Chicago’s offensive efficiency.
