Here is one of my favorite SLOB’s that incorporates two of my favorite offensive actions combined into one play. The first action is the Princeton Chin Shuffle cut which is an extremely difficult screen to defend. The second action is predicated on how they guard the shuffle cut. Most teams will sag off and help with the screeners defender to negate shuffle cut. Immediately after setting the back screen the screener sprints to set a ball screen. Since the screeners defender is helping on the shuffle cut, it will be difficult for them to show or trap on the ball screen. Some teams will try and switch this action and then you have my favorite action and that is the “roll and replace” high-low action. Since the switch will be big on little, we immediately look to get a high-low isolation for our post player posting up smaller guard.
