Buddy Hield Oklahoma Set Plays by Wes Kosel
The Buddy Hield Oklahoma Set Plays come from when he was a star at the University of Oklahoma and is currently a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. Hield played at Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas and then made his way to Norman, Oklahoma to play for Lon Kruger and the Oklahoma Sooners. At Oklahoma, he was two-time Big 12 Player of the Year, two-time First-Team All-Big 12, Second-Team All Big 12, Third-Team All-American (AP & NABC), Consensus First Team All-American, Sporting News College Player of the Year, Naismith College Player of the Year, recipient of the John R. Wooden Award and Jerry West Award. At Oklahoma, his stats steadily increased averaging just 7.8 points per game as a freshman and only shooting to 23% from 3-point range to averaging 25.0 points per game in 2015-2016 and shooting over 45% from 3-point range. In June of 2016, he was selected as the 6th overall pick of the NBA Draft by the New Orleans Pelicans and averaged 16.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in his Summer League games. His Sooner teams also increased win totals every season, going from 20 wins in 2012-2013 to 29 wins this past season. He also helped Oklahoma make a final four run this past year before losing to Villanova, the eventual National Champion.
