Bob Hoffman Mercer University Transition Offense by Dana Beszczynski

Written by Coach Peterman

I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

Today’s basketball plays are on Bob Hoffman and Mercer University Bears.  I have know Coach Hoffman for over 20 years and he is one of the good guys.  He coached at Oklahoma Baptist University when I first met him.  He got the University of Texas at Pan American job which is a graveyard  job and he went .500.  He has worked himself up the small college ranks to NCAA Division 1.  It can be done!

Dana Beszczynski is one of our most consistent basketball contributors to Men’s Basketball HoopScoop.  I think that you will enjoy his basketball coaching material.
