Offensive Development
This set of drills will help all players improve ball handling in a game-like situation while improving their scoring abilities. Watch for the footwork details when putting players through as traveling and balance issues can arise. The main point of focus should be in the execution of sprint cuts to get open and a low hard rip through as if a defender is right on them. Many players will become lazy with fundamentals during drill that have no defense so adding a dummy defender may help as well.
As with most of our drills I like to make them competitive after a certain amount of time to make sure the interest level is there. You can split them up into two teams and play to a certain score or play as individuals. The main thing to remember is that even though competition is good, winning at the cost of good execution is never a good thing. Make sure to continue to correct the bad habits that come up even during the competitive parts of this drill.
