I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

Some of the best basketball coaching material comes from the NBA Set Plays.  They do such a great job of getting specific shots in key areas.  I think that right now is an awesome time to collect basketball coaching material from the NBA and NCAA Teams.  I think that basketball coaching community can agree that March madness is my favorite time of year and it’s around the corner.

David Preheim is doing an awesome job showing us this Los Angeles Lakers Early Cross Screen Offense today. It’s the little things that will help you win basketball games.  This cross screen set play will get you an attempt near the basket or a elbow jumper.
