I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. Andy Enfield USC | 2014 Nike Championship Basketball Clinic Notes

The 2014 Nike Championship Basketball Clinic Notes will have coaches like Andy Enfield, Jim Boeheim, and Sean Miller. I think that Andy Enfield is the one of the most interesting clinicians out there. His grace period at USC is over right now. The firing of Steve Sarkisian just makes it even tougher for embattled athletic director Pat Haden.

The 2014 Nike Championship Basketball Clinic Notes show some of the concepts that coach Andy Enfield uses in his team. They need to show improvement this year and make a run in the NCAA Tournament like he did when he was at Florida Gulf Coast University three years ago. They have had two strong recruiting classes in place and now it’s time to turn it loose. They are trying to build a program that could substain success. They think that they have very young talented players that are hard enough workers too.

Coach Andy Enfield brought in Tony Bland and Jason Hart as his recruiters and they are getting the top Los Angeles area prospects, nabbing five Rivals 150 prospects in their last two recruiting classes with two more already slated to arrive in 2016. This season’s biggest key is the health of of dynamic sophomore point guard Jordan McLaughlin, a former four-star recruit who this off-season underwent stabilizing surgery on both shoulders in hopes of curtailing the injuries that have plagued him. Hopefully he will be prepared to be the maestro of Enfield’s fast-paced offense and watching film to correct his bad habits of over-penetrating and trying to do too much.

The 2014 Nike Championship Basketball Clinic Notes will show some of the fast paced offense that Pat Haden thought he was getting when he hired the architect of Florida Gulf Coast’s swashbuckling “Dunk City” team would be an ideal choice to reinvigorate interest in the basketball program at a school that historically has cared about football and little else.
