1992 USA Dream Team Set Plays by Wes Kosel

Below are several set plays used by the 1992 USA National Team, also known as the “dream team”. The video shows plays from the Gold Medal Match against Croatia. In the 1992 Olympics, USA went 8-0 and scored over 103 points in each game. The Gold Medal Game was a 117-85 score and that was the lowest point differential in the tournament for the United States. The highest point differential came in the first game against Angola with a score of 116-48 (68 points). The 1992 team was the first American Olympic team to have active NBA players on the roster.

Coaching Staff & Roster

The team was led by Head Coach Chuck Daly and assisted by Lenny Wilkens, P.J. Carlesimo, and Mike Krzyzewski. The roster included Christian Laettner, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Chris Mullin, Charles Barkley, and Magic Johnson. Charles Barkley led the team in scoring for the Olympics (18.0 ppg) followed by Michael Jordan (14.9 ppg), Karl Malone (13.0 ppg), and Chris Mullin (12.9 ppg). Barkley also shot 71% from the field and 87% from 3-point range (went 7 of 8 for the tournament). Below are some highlights of the 1992 Dream Team.
