Bo Ryan could have retired, but he came back to a team with little experience and they were going to take their lumps. I think Bo Ryan is a great coach to watch, because he makes things simple and does so much individual improvement with his team.

The Wisconsin Badgers are 4-2right now after a stunning 2 point loss to Western Illinois. They defeated Siena and North Dakota, but the level of competition increases significantly with two games this weekend in Madison Square Garden in New York. Last night as I was writing this article, they were going to face two undefeated teams — No. 7 Oklahoma at 1:30 p.m. Sunday (ESPN2) and unranked but surging Syracuse (6-0) at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday (ESPN2).

I live in Oklahoma so I am very familiar with the University of Oklahoma and Lon Kruger’s staff. I think playing in Madison Square Garden will be a eye-opening experience for some of the Wisconsin Badgers. It is the Holy Grail of basketball.
