I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.



Basketball Coaching is a tricky profession where you can be labeled as a certain type of Basketball Coach. John Calipari has been called a great recruiter and tremendous motivator, but you won’t have many coaches call him a tremendous X’s and O’s Coach in the Basketball Coaching Profession. I think John Calipari has grown as a basketball coach in the basketball coaching profession since he arrived at the University of Kentucky.

John Calipari is the men’s head coach at the University of Kentucky. John Calipari is the former head coach of the University of Memphis, the University of Massachusetts and the NBA’s New Jersey Nets. He is one of only two coaches to direct three different colleges to a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament, though two of those seasons have been officially vacated by the NCAA.

Anthony Elias is one of the up and coming coaches out there and will provide excellent content for Men’s Basketball HoopScoop. He is doing an outstanding job providing us with great basketball plays this season.
