Attack and React Offense Phase 2 Drills by Andrew Grantz

Written by Coach Peterman

I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

Attack and React Phase 2 Drills

Phase 2 of the Attack and React is the pass and cut phase. These drills work on the passer reading the defense and deciding to cut in front or behind the defense when basket cutting. It also teaches your players that when they share the ball they can still get points in this offense. These drills also allow players filling spots to become shooters and get alot of shots up.

For Those coaches using the Attack and React, I would love to see your game film to see how you use the offense and what phases you have put in. Please contact me at coachandrewgrantz@gmail.com
