Attack and React Offense by Andrew Grantz

Over this past season at IU Southeast I really tried to study as many different continuity and motion offenses as possible. Two that really caught my eye were the Dribble Drive and the Read and React. Both offenses had so many options that I liked. Both offenses, I felt, could also be tweaked to give players more passing options and better chances to attack off the dribble as well. This got me to think of a way that I could create my own offense that is a dribble penetration based offense that also has many options away from the ball for cutters and shooters. In others words, my goal was to create the ultimate motion offense for today’s style of play.

The Attack and React. This offense is a phase by phase teaching progression, highlighting attacking reactions that remain constant throughout the offense. All I did was take the game of basketball and break it down into 16 phases that can be taught one at a time. This promotes better development in players and gives coaches the option of picking his own phases to fit his needs or style. The offense has 5 basic phases that are essential to running a complete offense that can win. After the first 5 phases are learned then the coach has the option to add all, some, or none of the additional phases. This offense is great for any coach that wants to keep constant pressure on there opponent. Anyway, Championship Productions and I have teamed up to show this offense in a video that should be released in September.
