Bo Ryan Wisconsin Badgers Offense

I have coached at the NCAA Division 2 (Southwestern Oklahoma State University), NAIA (USAO), and JUCO Levels (Blinn College and Carl Albert State College) as well as high school. I just felt that fellow coaches especially young coaches need to constantly work on their “game”. Just like the basketball players that we coach. We as coaches need to improve ourselves. That is my story and why I do this blog.

Archie Miller Dayton Flyers Offense by Wes Kosel

Attached are 3 plays from Coach Archie Miller. Miller led his Dayton Flyers on an improbable run to the Elite 8 in the2014 NCAA Tournament. The Flyers won 26 games and went 10-6 in a stacked Atlantic 10 conference. Despite the conference record, Dayton played well when it counted in the NCAA Tournament upsetting Ohio State and Syracuse in the opening rounds. Miller just completed his 3rd season as head coach of the Flyers. In 3 years, he hasn’t had a losing season and has won over 60% of his games. Before taking the position at Dayton, Miller served as an assistant for his brother, Sean Miller, at Arizona. He also was an assistant coach at Ohio State, Arizona State, North Carolina State, and Western Kentucky. Miller played basketball at North Carolina State where he was a 3-point specialist and free-throw master. His Junior year he shot over 55% from the 3-point line. His team kept up that tradition shooting 37.7% as a team (51st best in the country). Each of these plays opens up shots for his shooters on the perimeter.
